NA Chair works with MoF

HÀ NỘI — National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân has urged the Ministry of Finance (MoF) to quickly tackle tasks for  二0 一 八, as this year will play an important role in fulfilling national targets and plans for the  二0 一 六- 二0 period.

At a working session with leaders of the ministry in Hà Nội yesterday, Ngân said the ministry should improve efficiency in management of capital sources from equitisation and capital withdrawal and restructuring of businesses under its management.

The ministry should consult the Government and fully implement policies and laws, as well as closely work with agencies to fulfil its tasks, she said.

Assessing  二0 一 七 for the finance sector, Chairwoman Ngân said the ministry successfully fulfilled its tasks last year, particularly in consulting and proposing policies and regulations relating to finance and State budget collection and spending.

In  二0 一 七, State budget overspending, public debts and foreign loans were kept under control and financial discipline was ensured, she said.

Minister Đinh Tiến Dũng affirmed that the ministry would continue tightening financial discipline and effectively carry out the Resolution on national five-year financial plan during the  二0 一 六- 二0 period.

At the working session, participants also reviewed the implementation of newly-adopted laws by the NA such as the Law on Management and Use of State Capital in Production and Business, the Law on Public Debt Management and the Law on Management and Use of Public Assets.

They also assessed the execution of policies and regulations relating to finance and the State budget. — VNS
