An Outing to A Farm

I want to buy this farm. All 300+ acres of it! Well, maybe I would settle for 10 acres or so. I guess if they wanted to give me 1 acre I’d take that too. The views, the buildings, the trees, the animals….ahhhh. It makes my heart sing! It is so completely breathtaking.
I took my class here earlier this week on their very first excursion. The Solothurn Rural Resort in Maleny. We got to milk one of the cows and then feed that milk to an orphaned calf who is blind. Her name is Bubbles. Adorable! We then fed horses, cows, ducks, chickens, emus, pigs, goats, sheep, collected chook eggs and went on a fun tractor ride down to the dam to feed more horses and cows, and to smell the beautiful waterlilies. The children had a blast and the parents admired the view over the valleys. It was a perfect day!

I remember going on that excursion with you and your preppies some years back…beautiful…so much fun!! The big kids loved it too!
xx
that is a great place to go – I love that excursion and the kids do too.
It is isn’t it Dana! I love how it is so hands on and the kids can really get in there and get their hands dirty (and their uniforms – oops!).
Gorgeous! I recognise that milker! Too cute!! Really lovely photos, just beautiful.
And a mighty good milker she was too! I have TONS of photos from the day that I will get up on the website (with their actual faces in them). I put some up on our classroom window yesterday too.
